Clearing the air

June 21, 2010

Just in time for Earth Day 2010, Xenn completed a comprehensive re-brand for Houston clean air non-profit GHASP, the Galveston-Houston Association for Smog Prevention. After a review of local agencies, the organization selected Xenn to direct the effort which included developing a new name, tagline, logo and website.

In keeping with the organization’s expanded and strengthened mission to reduce air pollution in the Houston region in order to protect public health and environmental integrity, it was renamed Air Alliance Houston. Xenn then created the straightforward tagline: “Research. Education. Advocacy.” which clearly describes the means to achieve the organization’s goals. With the new name and messaging in place, Xenn tackled a complete redesign of the non-profit’s logo, giving it a modern look that represents forward movement and incorporates organic colors.

The new brand was put into action culminating in the launch of the newly-developed Air Alliance Houston website (airalliancehouston.org). Featuring upbeat, friendly graphics and streamlined intuitive navigation, the site provides a much-improved user experience. Darin Coin, Xenn’s Creative Director Interactive, led the design and development of the new site. He reports, “To develop a site from the ground up and create a measurable increase in the value of the site to the client and their constituents is always rewarding.”

Throughout the re-brand process, Xenn worked with a dynamic and committed team at Air Alliance Houston. Xenn President, Jane LaCombe said “We certainly could not have achieved such a great outcome without their enthusiastic involvement and inspiration. Additionally, it’s a bonus for us that we were able to do what we do best for an organization that is making life better for all of us in Houston.”
